Giving To KCH
Types of Gifts
Current gifts to Kansas Christian Home can be cash, life insurance
or appreciated assets such as stock or bonds. You can also make a
contribution through certain IRAs. For your convenience gifts can be
mailed, completed online or by an automatic withdrawal from your
checking account. (download
form).
There are many commonly used items that KCH is happy to accept as a
donation. Personal-care items, specialized furniture, craft supplies
and several others. Gifts-in-kind are considered for a charitable
deduction under IRS guidelines.
Kansas Christian Home is in partnership with Christian Church
Foundation to offer Charitable Gift Annuities. Annuities allow you
to receive income for your (and/or another beneficiary’s) lifetime.
Then the remainder will become a gift to KCH to be used as you
direct. If you would like more information on other types of
philanthropic planning
please contact
Linda Hill.
Legacy of John
All gifts to Legacy of John benefit residents of KCH. Giving
excellent care includes providing for the physical, mental,
emotional and spiritual health of each resident. In the last few
years, Legacy of John funds have made it possible to install a
wireless call system and helped improve the appearance of the care
center. Legacy of John gifts also underwrite the costs of Tilsley
Manor where ministers, missionaries and church workers under certain
financial guidelines, can live independently at reduced costs.
Endowment Funds
Legacy of John
This endowment is a permanent fund with earnings used for the
purposes of Legacy of John. All gifts will be added to the
principal, invested and managed by the Board of Directors.
Tilsley Manor
Gifts to the endowment are considered principal and earnings are
used for maintenance needs of this special housing area.
Capital Fund
KCH is beginning a major project to provide the link between
independent living and nursing care. The new Assisted Living Center
will have 21 apartments; 11 one-bedroom suites and 10 studios. Each
unit will have a private bath and a kitchenette. So often we have
long-time residents who no longer can live independently but are not
at the point where they need complete nursing care. These people
have made a home here, their friends are here and then they have to
leave to find assisted living care elsewhere. They not only face
major changes but need to do it without the support system they have
spent years building. Your gifts to the capital fund will underwrite
construction costs of the Assisted Living Center, helping current
residents and opening the home to new people.
You can also designate your capital gift to other projects such as
carpeting, new kitchen or other approved projects.
